Does that count as a reference question?
A guy came in the other day and asked if he could sit down and rest and read something. I said "sure," so he sat and leafed through the encyclopedia and twitched around for a while, then came up to the desk and asked, "Miss, do you know if there's a devil in this town?"

So was it the D volume? He could be a bounty hunter - backgrounding, gathering evidence ... though I reckon the devil's too cunning to be caught by polite, twitchy library patrons.
Unless (echo echo) he HIMSELF is the devil; in which case, well, he's just vain (and maybe a little lonely).
