Step 1: Stop Stealing
Today I found a ripped out barcode in the stacks. I scanned it in and found that the stolen book was called How to Clear Your Adult and Juvenile Criminal Records.

According to the director of a certain large academic law library, the Continuing Legal Education materials are the items most often stolen from said institution. (These are the materials lawyers need to stay current and maintain their licenses to practice law.)
