I can't remember

Caller-- Can you find the quote by Mencken about druggists (pharmacists) and writing? I can't remember the quote. I first heard it 20 years ago. I don't know if I was hallucinating then or if I'm hallucinating now.

oh thank you -I roared laughing.
If the caller had Google-searched* it, I would have missed that pleasure.

* HLMencken wrote in The Mercury May-Aug 1924 of a druggist who
" had realized that extemporaneous prescription writing was a myth"

"and furthermore, the druggist knew as little of Latin as the doctor"

It's a very droll piece and I am going back to it now that I have thanked you.
