Can I put you on hold please?

Yesterday I took a call from the back room. They put the customer on hold while they transferred the call to me. When I said hello, this is Amy at the reference desk, how can I help you? the guy said -- you have amazing music on hold!

Then he asked me a question, I don't recall what it was, but I asked if I could put him on hold again while I do a little research. He said-- absolutely, I'll put you on speaker phone so my whole family will enjoy the music!
