This woman called us to ask had we seen her knitting bag. No, sorry.
Caller: but I was there in the community room.
Colleague: I don't think so because we had a program happening in the CR during that time. I know because I set up all the chairs and I was the only one in the room.
Circular conversation continues until woman realizes that she called the wrong liberry!

I work in a small town in WI with a fairly common name. I once spent 15 minutes on the phone trying to help someone find our library. The landmarks she was describing were right, but they were in the wrong places. Finally, I said "I have to ask - are you in Nebraska?" Yup. She was.
I knew there was another town there with our name, but hadn't realized the layout was so similar.
